The Board of Trustees met on 8 June 2022 in Memorial Hall, Building R8, Hawkesbury campus. A summary of matters discussed in the open session is provided below.

Chancellor’s Report
The Chancellor briefed the Board on a number of matters, including the acting arrangements for the Chair of Academic Senate, an update on the successful April graduation ceremonies, the Iftar dinner held at the Parramatta campus, an update on the Universities Australia / University Chancellors Council, and an update on the ATAR Reform Advisory Council.
Vice-Chancellor’s Report
The Vice-Chancellor provided an update to Board members on the outcomes of the Federal election, staff pulse and casual staff surveys, National Student Safety Survey, senior management group conference, and an update on student load.
Chair of Academic Senate Report
The Chair of Academic Senate spoke to the Board on a number of matters discussed at the most recent Academic Senate, including the Student Management System (SMS) project update.
Sustaining Success 2021-2026: In-Depth Analysis and Reporting – Equity
The Board were provided with an in-depth analysis of the University’s performance against the following strategic measures:
- M4: Increase the proportion of our students who are indigenous; and
- M5: Represent gender equity, diversity and inclusion in our culture, workforce, processes and policies.
Business Continuity Management (BCM) Policy
The Board approved the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Policy.
Modern Slavery Statement
The Board approved the Western Sydney University 2021 Modern Slavery Statement.
