About the CSC
Welcome to the home of Team U! The Contact Service Centre (CSC) guides prospective students on their journey to Western Sydney University. The CSC operates from a 35 seat call centre located on the Werrington North campus. As the information gateway of Western Sydney University, the CSC employs 50 current students that provide course and facility information with a personal touch. This makes for a dynamic and efficient team that service phone, email and web enquiries while distributing course information mail outs. The CSC also has a presence at University events and career markets; making understanding university options easy for any future student. Parking enquiries, Capital Works Facilities requests and complaints advice also form part of the CSC service.
On an annual basis the CSC:
- Answers more than 90 000 phone calls
- Responds to over 70 000 emails
- Handles more than 15 000 web enquiries

Our Commitment to Quality
Through a continuous quality monitoring program, the CSC aims to maintain their award winning standards. This is achieved through internal processes and a quarterly external review conducted by the Customer Service Benchmarking Australia (CSBA) consultancy group, who benchmark contact centres nationwide. These results allow the CSC to adapt to changes in the needs of future students and deliver a memorable service. Proudly, the CSC is consistently ranked the number one tertiary contact centre in NSW!
The CSC also conducts rigorous training upon hiring Contact Service Officers. This allows staff to have extensive product knowledge and to expertly advise prospective students of options and pathways available to them. Due to the changing market, there is retraining and updates provided to staff on a regular basis. This enables Western Sydney University to communicate reliable and up to date information.
