YARRAMUNDI LECTURE 2025

Thank you for joining us for the 27th Yarramundi Lecture on 8 July 2025 at Western Sydney University! This annual event brings together community members, students, academics, and esteemed guest speakers to engage in meaningful dialogue and share insights on Indigenous issues.

Aligned with the 2025 NAIDOC Week theme 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy', the lecture celebrated the enduring strength of Elders, the visionary spirit of Indigenous communities, and the leadership being carried forward by young Indigenous changemakers.

This year’s lecture featured:

  • Associate Professor Corey Tutt, a proud Kamilaroi man, scientist, entrepreneur, and founder of DeadlyScience, who advocates for Indigenous youth in STEM
  • Dr. Matilda Harry, a proud Wiradjuri woman and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, who delivered a powerful address on leadership and cultural identity
