Patricia has worked across Community Health and Educational sectors since 1996, as a counsellor and adult education teacher. Most recently, her practice has focussed on professional Careers Counselling in the university sector with students at Macquarie University, UTS and Western Sydney University since 2011. Prior to coming into university careers counselling, Patricia worked as a counsellor and adult educator with NSW Health and TAFE and has over 20 years combined experience in art therapy, counselling, adult education, careers education and service leadership roles.

Patricia specialises in one-to-one and group careers counselling programs that use art therapy methods to focus primarily on helping with career-anxiety, career decision-making, building confidence and fostering resilience. She has worked with university students, indigenous youth and school children using these methods.  Patricia has presented seminars at several conferences including ANZACATA, CDAA and NAGCAS, along with twice at the Western Sydney University Professional Staff Conference, in an effort to help educate professionals in the fields of both Art Therapy and Education to the benefits of using art therapy methods in a careers-focused higher education setting.
