Biography

In addition to his role as a casual academic with the School of Education, Dr Noakes is currently a Primary Science Mentor for the Wollondilly Schools Network and a writer for the Australian Academy of Science Primary Connections program.  In his role as a mentor, Dr Noakes delivers curriculum planning guidance and situated professional development in primary classrooms. Additionally, Dr Noakes directs the development of primary science learning communities that include local primary schools, high schools, preschools, local council and local business and industry.  These links help to foster sustainable primary science education and build capacity for schools to provide quality science education through hands-on inquiry-based learning.
