Research Forum on Ageing

Working Together on Ageing

Industry and Research Forum

WSU Bankstown, Friday 22nd July

Background

In 2015, a cross-disciplinary group of university researchers with a focus on ageing formed the WSU Ageing Consortium. In April 2016 The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development held a forum for researchers working at WSU to share knowledge and outcomes, promote the ageing research area, facilitate cross faculty collaboration, and connect with community representatives from the aged care sector.

The aim of the forum

The forthcoming "Working Together on Ageing" workshop is a logical next step for WSU researchers to engage more fully with external industry partners in order to discover mutual research, translation and project development ideas.

Participants & presentation format:

The workshop format will be a series of 10-15 minute presentations from select aged care industry organisation representatives and academics finishing up with a round table discussion to discuss common themes and next steps. This will be a full day event with morning tea and lunch provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements on registration.

Time & Place:

The meeting will be held on Friday 22nd July from 10 am to 4.30 pm on WSU's Bankstown Campus, room TBA.

Organising Personnel:

Prof Chris Davis, Prof Kate Stevens, A/Prof Jeesun Kim, Mr James Kemp.

Regards,

Professor Chris Davis on behalf of the organisers.
