Dr Dmytro Khutkyy is the Representative of Development of International Research at the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, Kyiv, Ukraine, and the Head of Sociological Strand of the Electronic Democracy Project in Ukraine. He is a member of Sociological Association of Ukraine, European Sociological Association, American Sociological Association, and International Sociological Association. Currently, he pursues a study on global trends at the University of California-Riverside, USA, as a Fulbright Visiting Researcher. Dr Khutkyy's major fields of expertise include macro and global social change, social activism, and futures studies. He has published several articles on and political attitudes of Ukrainians. This year, he co-authored the book with Svitlana Khutka National Self-Feeling of Population of Ukraine: Actual State, Main Causes and Consequences. During the dramatic events in Ukraine, Dr Dmytro Khutkyy has been studying sociological aspects of the protests and intersocietal relations, with primary focus on the opinions of populations in Ukraine and Russia.
