During your study at Western

After getting your offer

When you get your offer, you will be provided with a dedicated online Study Abroad and Exchange Offer Information pack, that will include further information and links to information about your study at Western, including accommodation, visas, Overseas Student Health Cover, unit enrolment, and more.

Updating your personal details

Once you arrive in Australia and find a place to live, you must update your personal details in MySR.  If you move during your studies at Western Sydney University or change your phone number, remember to update your details again.

Adding, changing and dropping your units

You can add/change units up until the end of the second week of classes and drop units up until the census date for the session. After that date, special permission must be sought. You can drop units through MySR and add/change units by email to the Go Global and Study Abroad team.

Census date

The census date is the official deadline for finalising your enrolment and fees for each teaching session. Once this date has passed, you are committed to the units you're enrolled in. This means you will be charged tuition fees and receive a grade for all your enrolled units. If you drop any units after this date you will still need to pay tuition fees and will receive an absent fail grade.
