Where can I go on exchange for a semester or year?

Opportunities are available in locations all over the world. When searching for a suitable location the following factors should be considered:

  • What type of experience do I want?
  • What is my preferred country?
  • How long do I want to go overseas and when do I want to start?
  • Does the location have universities that teach units in English?
  • Does the location have universities with units in my discipline (core units) and/or am I able to use my electives?

Western Sydney University international exchange partner universities

An exchange program is based on an official exchange agreement between two partner universities.

You can select up to two preferred universities for your semester or year-long exchange program and apply online through their program brochures.

You can study on exchange through Western Sydney University 'bilateral' exchange partner universities, the Australian European Network (AEN) partner universities and ISEP partner universities:

  • AEN brings together Australian universities and members of the Utrecht Network of universities in Europe. Please see the AEN website (opens in a new window) or look under the European country menu headings below for a full list of partner universities available.
  • ISEP covers more than 300 universities across over 50 countries. Please see our ISEP webpage to learn more about how you can study through ISEP as part of the Go Global Exchange Program.
