What we do
The NDCO Program works strategically to assist people with disability access, and participate in tertiary education and subsequent employment, through a national network of regionally based NDCOs.
NDCOs work with stakeholders to reduce systemic barriers, facilitate smooth transitions, build links and coordinate services between the education, training and employment sectors.
NDCOs work with a wide range of stakeholders: people with disability and their families; schools; tertiary education and training providers; employment services; employers; community and disability services; and other Government programs.
Our objectives are:
- Improved linkages between schools, universities, TAFEs, training providers and disability service providers so that they can work together to provide the best possible assistance for people with disability.
- Improved transitions for people with disability into tertiary education and subsequent employment.
- Increased participation by people with disability in tertiary education and employment.
