Manage public healthcare
The program puts basic management studies in the context of the health sector to integrate management skills and knowledge of the health care system. The entry level management expertise can be applied to quality improvement, basic financial management and occupational health and safety. Two areas of growth are in mental health services and the aged care sector.
Pathway Options
This program offers a pathway to the Diploma of Health Science. If you wish to continue with further studies, the Diploma offers a direct pathway to the Bachelor of Health Science.

Health services officer
Health Services Officers develop, support and coordinate health programs and services for the benefit of communities.
Health promotion worker
Health Promotion workers identify and address priority health and wellbeing issues and deliver population health interventions. They develop and implement health promotion programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
Health program manager
Public health program managers are responsible for overseeing health services and facilities. They may manage individual departments or whole facilities.
Quality improvement officer
Quality Improvement Officers can be involved in the strategic planning and supervision of quality and safety activities at major metropolitan hospitals or for an area health service.

*The tuition fees quoted above are the fees for the normal full-time study load of the program (80 credit points) per annum.
