An exchange program is a semester or year long study opportunity with one of our partner universities.

Student exchange is a fantastic experience. You will develop and change in ways that you could not expect. You will discover opportunities you did not know existed while having heaps of fun, getting credit, seeing another country, and experiencing another culture.

The University has partnerships with more than 80 universities in the following regions:

  • South America
  • North America (excluding USA)
  • United States of America (USA)
  • Europe
  • Asia-Pacific
  • Middle-East

Our students can also choose to study short courses internationally during the summer or winter break; Study at a country in the native language (beginner to advanced level) where English is not the native language of the country; or study abroad at a university that is not a partner of Western Sydney University.

Incoming Study Abroad and Exchange students

Western Sydney University provides you with an invaluable opportunity to experience the Australian way of life while contributing towards your degree.

Study Abroad and Exchange students can pursue a one or two semester fulltime study program in any of our current fields of study. Students may choose any units on offer at Western Sydney University as long as they meet the entry requirements (prerequisites) for the unit. These units may also be taken from any one-unit discipline area or can be cross disciplinary.

There are three options for a study abroad student at Western:

  1. Study Abroad
  2. Study Abroad Plus Internship
  3. Study Abroad Plus Language Tuition
